Since 30th July 2009, United Airlines Mileage Plus frequent flyer program are able to take advantage of last minute flights to New York, Paris or Shanghai without paying the standard last-minute booking fee. The passengers of United Airlines Frequent Flyer Program will not have to book their ticket before 21 days of departure as it was done previously. United Airlines is the first airline to make this adjustment for its frequent flyer program members.
