TAM Airlines plans to expand its on-board services, mobile and internet services on board its international fleet in 2012. When TAM will expand its on-board services, mobile and internet services on board its aircraft, passengers can use their cell phones on flights. It also has an on-board services, WiFi service that will allow passengers to access the Internet during their flight. To implement this new service, TAM Airlines will use OnAir SwiftBroadband (SBB) Inmarsat in 12 TAM Boeing 777-300ER and 10 Airbus A330 to be delivered between 2014 and 2018. The connectivity of the international fleet will be implemented in the second half of 2012. TAM also plans to equip its aircraft carrying up to 31 domestic flights, connecting on board and they must all have the system installed for next year.
