TACA International and Avianca merge

Taca International has officially merged with Avianca on the 2nd February 2010.The Merging of the 2 airlines will form a new company officially known as AVIANCA-TACA Limited. The merger between Taca and Avianca will propose a wider choice of destinations to passengers in the Latin Americas. The new merged airline Avianca Taca limited will serve more than 100 destinations in Latin America. Also the merging of Taca and Avianca will propose new destinations for both airlines and presently have 129 modern airplanes in their fleet and will employ 12000 people. The new merged company Avianca-Taca has 3 millions members in the Frequent Flyer Program and the turnover will generate about 3 billion US dollars per year.
