Southwest Airlines started operation at Boston Logan airport on 16th August 2009 with 10 daily flights to Chicago Midway and Baltimore/Washington International. Southwest Airlines celebrated its 1st year of service with daylong celebration at its gates in Terminal E at Boston Logan Airport.
