Lost baggage: know your rights

Europa gives passengers their rights in case their baggage has been lost. According to Europa, passengers have rights to compensation from the carrier if their baggage is lost, damaged or delayed, the compensation cannot exceed $1,528 (€1,220). Europa also states that if the carrier has taken all precautions to prevent the baggage from being damaged, delayed or lost and it was impossible to avoid any problem then the carrier shall not be liable.
