IATA is focusing to lessen emissions. The government should go away from disciplinary economic measures in order to focus on measures that diminish emissions in a globally coordinated effort. IATA is expecting a 7.8% drop in global carbon emissions from aviation. However of this 7.8%, 6.0% is from an expected drop in capacity and the other 1.8 % is directly related to the Four Pillar Strategy on Climate Change, particularly development in technology, operations and infrastructure. The Four Pillar Strategy on Climate Change is firstly investment in technology secondly effective operations thirdly efficient infrastructure and lastly positive economic measures.
