Continental Airlines and its subsidiary airline Continental Micronesia plan to offer New York Tokyo flights. On 16th February 2010, Continental Airlines has submitted an application to the Department of Transportation to offer nonstop flights from New York, Newark and Guam to Tokyo. The flights from New York to Tokyo will be ensured by Continental Airlines’ Boeing 777 and from to Tokyo the flights will be operated by a Boeing 767-400. If approval is given by the Department of Transportation, Continental Airlines plans to start flights to Tokyo from New York in late 2010.
