American Airlines releases its traffic figures May 2011

American Airlines has released its traffic figures for May 2011. According to these figures, American Airlines has been an increase of 1.3% of total traffic over in May 2010. Counts of its traffic in May 2011 show an increase of 0.7% of total capacity with an average load factor of 83.3%. International traffic for American Airlines was up 4.9% from the same month last May, followed by a capacity increase of about 6.1%. As for domestic traffic, the figures for the month of May 2011 shows a decrease of 0.9% compared to May 2010 with a capacity drop of 2.8%. Note that the airline carried 7.4 million passengers in May 2011.
