American Airlines, member of the Oneworld ® alliance has submitted an application to the Department of Transportation in US to start flights from New York to Tokyo. American Airlines plans to start flights from New York to Tokyo as from 1st October 2010. These flights will be ensured by American Airlines’ Boeing 777 which will carry 16 passengers in First class, 37 in Business class and 194 in Economy class. If approval is given by the Department of Transportation to American Airlines, the aircraft will take off from New York at 7.20 pm and will reach Tokyo at 10.20 pm the following day. American Airlines will then leave from Tokyo at 7.00 am and will arrive in New York at 6.50 am the same day.
