Air Valid provides airline information for travelers, such as seat pitch and certified passenger ratings on flights for 1593 different airlines.

How do I find information about an airline?

Air Valid provides summarized information for the airlines in our database. These summaries are accessible on the Air Valid website or via the websites of our travel partners.

What information does Air Valid index?

Air Valid indexes financial information (capital, sales turnover, manpower, partners, subsidiary companies, etc.), administrative information (coordinated, registered office, luggage service, etc.) and also factual information (company code, country of origin, creation date, floats, declared incidents, etc.).

How reliable is the information offered by Air Valid?

In the creation of our database, Air Valid has relied on the information released from official airline websites and information from official authorities of air transport (IATA, ICAO, DGAC, ITA, SNAV, AEA, AFRAA, etc.).

How current is the information?

Air Valid updates its site information every quarter. However, an airline may update their information at any time.

What responsibility does Air Valid carry with regard to the information they provide?

AIR VALID does not rewrite information. They are about data public, collected and organized in order to inform in the form of a summary but effective enough for the traveller to know about the identity and the origin of an airline company, according to the recommendations of the European Parliament and at Decree n° 2006-315 of March 17, 2006 Decree n° 2006-315 of March 17, 2006 regarding to the obligation to disclose information to airline passengers about the identity of the airline company. How are the airlines rated and who rates them?

Air Valid asks the travel agencies to offer their customers a questionnaire after returning from their trip in order to rate the airline on which they flew. The passengers will evaluate both the airline and the flight. Therefore, the ratings come from passengers that have recently flown with the airline.

What criteria are the airline ratings based upon?

Air Valid has designed a questionnaire that is based on the passenger’s sense of comfort and safety throughout the flight. The questionnaire is made up of 30 questions about the flight, from boarding to exiting the aircraft, about luggage retrieval, about the plane and about the flight crew.
